What this policy covers

This policy explains how information may be handled when you visit simgou.digital, load resources supplied by third parties, use the light/dark display preference, or choose to compose an email through the contact page. It applies to the site’s editorial pages and not to external websites or service providers you may visit independently.

The site exists to explain trip planning around digital connectivity. It does not sell mobile services, host user accounts, or run provider support. Read the about page for our editorial independence policy and the contact page for the limits of the mailto form.

Stage 01 / Cookies and local storage

A display preference is not a tracking profile

Cookies

simgou does not set first-party tracking cookies. It does not use cookies to build advertising audiences, recognise visitors across sites, or store a travel profile. Your browser and third parties may have their own cookie behaviour governed by their own settings and notices.

Light and dark mode

The display toggle stores only the selected theme value, “light” or “dark,” in your browser’s local storage so the page can remember your preference. This value stays in your browser until you clear site storage or change the setting. It is not sent to simgou as a form submission and is not used to identify you.

Analytics

This version of simgou does not use an analytics service. We do not operate a site analytics dashboard, cross-site audience measurement, advertising pixels, or behavioural profiling on these pages.

Stage 02 / Contact form and email

What happens when you use the contact page

The form on contact.html is a convenience for composing an email. JavaScript takes the text you enter and opens your device’s email application or mail handler using a mailto: link addressed to [email protected]. It does not post form data to a simgou server, and the site does not store a form submission.

Once you choose to send an email, your email provider handles the message under its own terms. The email may contain personal data that you choose to include, such as your name or return address. Please do not send account passwords, payment information, identification documents, or other sensitive information. We use received editorial emails only to read, respond where appropriate, and improve or correct the site.

The contact route is not provider support. If your message concerns a plan, activation, billing, account, or a provider’s infrastructure, contact that company’s official support channel. The FAQ can help distinguish a general device setting from a service-specific issue first.

Stage 03 / Third-party services

Resources requested by your browser

The pages use resources that are hosted by third parties. When your browser requests those resources, the relevant third party may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser details, request time, and the page that requested the resource. That handling is governed by the third party’s own privacy notice and infrastructure.

Tailwind CDN

The styling framework is loaded from the Tailwind CDN to render page layout and responsive design.

Google Fonts

DM Sans and DM Serif Display are requested from Google Fonts to display the site’s typography.

Unsplash images

Photographs are requested from Unsplash’s image CDN. They are editorial visuals, not claims about service quality or coverage.

External links, including mailto links and any link you choose to follow beyond simgou, are outside this policy. Review the privacy information supplied by those destinations before sharing personal information.

Stage 04 / Your choices and rights

European-style privacy rights in practice

Depending on applicable law, including GDPR-style frameworks where relevant, you may have rights to ask about personal data held about you, request access, correction, erasure, restriction, objection, or data portability, and complain to a relevant supervisory authority. The practical amount of personal data held by this site is limited because it does not run accounts, analytics, or a form database.

If you email us, you can ask how the message is being handled or ask for deletion of the email correspondence where applicable. Write to [email protected] from the relevant address and describe the request clearly. We may need enough information to identify the message and protect against disclosing it to someone else.

Browser controls remain useful: you can clear local storage to remove the light/dark preference, block or manage third-party requests with browser settings or extensions, and choose whether your email program opens the mailto composer. Blocking external resources can affect the appearance of the site, but the core editorial text remains available.

We may revise this policy if the site’s features or legal requirements change. The updated date will appear at the top, and material changes will be described in clear language rather than hidden behind a vague notice.
